Colts and Liverpool PPD Tonight
The Zamboni at the rink at C.F.B. Halifax in Shearwater is out of commission and therefore has forced postponement of tonight’s NSJHL Game between the 12-2-1 Capstone Colts and the 7-8-2 Liverpool Privateers. A Colts Executive Member was hopeful parts would be available by Monday and the machine would be back in operation. A make-up date has not been decided upon.
Elsewhere tonight, it should be a dandy in East Hants as the 8-5-1 Brookfield Elks and the 10-2-2 Penguins square off. The Elks have given the Pens more than they bargained for this season defeating East Hants 6-5 in overtime while losing 8-4 to the Pens.
The 8-9-1 Sackville Blazers will attempt to be not caught off guard when they play the 3-15-0 Valley Maple Leafs at the West Hants Sports Complex in Windsor at 7:30. The Leafs stunned Brookfield at home last Friday and followed that game up with another great game on the road in a win over Liverpool.
Pictou and Antigonish renew their arch rivalry in Antigonish at 7:30 p.m. The 9-6-0 Scotians are coming off a thrilling 2-1 Overtime win over the 9-3-1 Bulldogs in Trenton last Sunday. Game time is 7:30 in Antigonish.
One other game in a hectic Friday night with the 7-8-0 Membertou Jr. Miners travelling to Port Hawkesbury to play the 8-5-1 Strait Pirates in a 7:30 game.
