Three Stars of the Week named
The playoff races remain exceptionally tight and respective players continue to put forth exceptional efforts in helping their teams reach the 2022-23 Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League Playoffs. The following are the Three Stars for play during the Feb 3-5/23 timeframe.
1st Star — Bruen Fisher - East Hants - The Pens had two huge wins 3-2 over Sackville in OT and 6-2 over the Capstone Colts where Fisher managed 4 goals and 1 assist in the two games.
2nd Star — Sonny Kabatay — Eskasoni — Another impressive performance as he recorded a 5 point afternoon in the Jr. Eagles win over Cumberland.
3rd Star — A tie for the third star between the Strait Pirates Gregor Yoell and the Colts Will MacRae. Yoell had 3 goals and an assist to help the Strait defeat Cumberland and MacRae for his heroics and goal with 3 seconds remaining in regulation as the Colts defeated Liverpool 3-2.
