Pens and Privateers - Game 7 Friday
It will be game 7 in Lantz Friday night after the East Hants Penguins scored two goals in a span of 27 seconds in the first period Wednesday night in Liverpool to defeat the Privateers 4-3 and knot their Best-of-Seven Semi-Final at 3-3. Friday’s game is a 7:30 start. The goals from Nick Veinot and Brody Fraser were scored before the game was four minutes old. Daniel Kline’s first of 2 goals for the Privateers brought Liverpool back to within 1 with 17 seconds to play in the opening period.
In the second, Carson Gallant tied it at 2-2 mid-way through the 2nd for the Privateers before the Pens went back up 3-2 on Brandon Klot’s first of two goals. Klot put the Penguins ahead 4-2 2:02 into the third. Daniel Kline’s second goal made it a one goal game again but that is the way it stood for the duration as the Pens won 4-3. Aidan Durnford was very busy in the Privateer nets as he stopped 52 of 56 shots while Marcus Pettipas stopped 36 of 39 for the Penguins.
