Bulldogs up 2-1
It appears as if this Championship Series could be a long and exceptionally close one following a 2-1 win by the Antigonish Jr. Bulldogs over the Capstone Colts in Antigonish Wednesday evening. All of the game’s three goals were scored in the first period and checking was very tight as the Colts outshot the Bulldogs 30-26. The shots total were quite low when you compare it to the majority of games played by these clubs in their respective divisions this season. A power-play goal by Kyler Lohnes proved to be the game winner for the Bulldogs. Owen Flemming put Antigonish ahead 1-0 earlier in the first. The Colts struck back being down 2-0 when Cody Garcin tallied but it was the only goal the Colts would score. Game 4 with the Bulldogs ahead 2-1 in the Best-of-Seven will be played in Shearwater Friday night at 7:30 before the teams go back to Antigonish Saturday night for Game 5.
