Scotians have win taken away
It is so unfortunate when a team after a hard win, ends up with an official loss due to having played an ineligible player in that particular game. Such is the case for the Pictou County Scotians who opened their 2021-2022 Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League Season with a 5-2 win over the Antigonish AA Munro Jr. Bulldogs Friday, Oct 1 in Antigonish.
However, it came to light over the past week that an ineligible player had dressed and played for the Scotians in their win and the League based on their constitution had no choice but to take the win away from the Scotians and give the Bulldogs the victory. The Bulldogs as a result are off to a 5-0-0 start. As a result of the win being taken away from the Scotians, it has also cost their Head Coach a 5 game suspension.
