Blazers 4-2-0 on season after weekend split in Cape Breton
Saturday Night Oct 16 in Membertou against the Jr. Miners, the Blazers fell 6-4 after falling behind 4-1 after two periods. Josh MacKay and Ashton Paul both rifled a pair for the Jr. Miners while Blake Cox picked up a goal and added 2 assists. Kody Groves added the other goal for Membertou who still trail the red-hot 5-0-0 Antigonish Jr. Bulldogs in the Sid Rowe Division. Paul’s second goal of the game 1:38 into the third period proved to be the game winner. Scoring for the Blazers was Luc Arsenault, Degen Noble Noah Healy and Brian Grandy.
There were 120 minutes in penalties called during the contest with 116 of them in the opening period as officials dished out 10 of 11 misconducts with only 1:01 to play in the opening frame. The other misconduct came earlier in the period. The Blazers despite the loss did outshoot the Jr. Miners 30-25.

Sunday afternoon Oct 17 in Eskasoni, the Blazers Degen Noble paced the way for the visiting team scoring three times and adding an assist. His first goal of the afternoon with slightly less than 5 minutes to play in the opening period put the Blazers up 4-0 and proved to be the game winner. Duggan Gauthier scored twice and added an assist with the other Blazers goal going to Brian Grandy. Thomas Simon and Jacob Denny both chipped in with a goal and an assist for the Jr. Eagles with other goal going to Omar Gould. The Blazers outshot Eskasoni 31-21.
