7 point wekend earns Francis 1st star of the week
The Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League has named their three stars of the week for Oct 7-11 and three newcomers to this year’s list shone brightly for there respective clubs in play during Oct 7-11.
1st Star — Marcellus Francis — Eskasoni Jr. Eagles - he recorded 3 goals and added 4 assists in two games over the weekend and was very strong in the offensive end.
2nd Star - Alec Howie — Liverpool Privateers - he scored a natural hat-trick in Friday’s shut-out win over the Valley and added another important goals in Liverpool’s 3-2 win over Brookfield Saturday.
3rd Star — Dawson Blanchard - Brookfield Elks — He played strong in every Elks game and finished with 5 assists.
