Jr. Eagles have 2 players named as three stars this week
Hunter Chenhall of the Eskasoni Jr. Eagles has been named the number 1 star of the week for the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League for the week covering Oct 14-20. Chenhall played outstanding hockey stopping 51 shots as the Eagles blanked the Antigonish Jr. Bulldogs 4-0 in Antigonish. Chenhall is 2-0-0 to date this season stopping 68 of 70 shots while recording a save percentage of .971.
The First Star of the week last week is the second star of the week Oct 14-20 and he is Marcellus Francis who scored three times against the Jr. Bulldogs and now has seven goals and five assists in only 4 games, averaging 3 points a game.
There is a tie for 3rd star of the week between two Capstone Colt Teammates In Benjamin Veinot who scored three times last Friday night in the 3-1-0 Colts 4-3 overtime win over the 3-0-2 East Hants Penguins. Tied with Veinot is Colts goaltender Alex MacVicar who stopped 33 shots in a 4-0 shut-out by the Colts over the Valley Maple Leafs Saturday night. MacVicar is now 3-0-0 on the season and has stopped 81 of 85 shots for a 3-0-0 record and a .953 save pct.
