MacVicar - 1st star of the week
The action has been fast and competitive to date in the 22-23 NSJHL Season. Three Stars for the week of Oct 21-Oct 27 were named today and they are as follows:
1. Alec MacVicar - Capstone Colts - Having incredible season to date and this past week led the Colts to a pair of wins over the Sackville Blazers, registering a shut-out, collecting an assist while stopping 72 of 73 shots he faced in the two games with the Blazers.
2. Liam Andrews — Capstone Colts — Scored 4 goals in one win over Sackville and finished the week with 5 points in two games.
3. Matthew Ellis and Jacob Denny — once again this week, we have a tie for third star. Ellis with the Port Hawkesbury Strait Pirates collected 4 points in the Pirates 8-4 win over Antigonish and Jacob Denny of the Eskasoni Jr. Eagles who also registered a four point afternoon in the Eagles win over the Membertou Jr. Miners.
Next week we will name the three stars + the players of the month for the respective divisions.
