Two-way tie for 1st Star of the week
The Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League announced their 3 stars of the week Tuesday afternoon Nov 29 for the week of Nov 25-28.
1. There is a tie for this week’s First Star as it goes to two players, Robbie Dowell of the Valley Maple Leafs who scored twice and added three assists in two Leaf losses to East Hants and Sackville while Zachary Houston recorded 5 points on two goals and three assists in a Scotians win over Cumberland and 2 losses versus Membertou.
2. The second star of the week is Blake Cox of the Membertou Jr. Miners who scored 4 times in a pair of huge wins over the Pictou County Scotians to bring the Jr. Miners closer to playoff contention.
3. The third star of the week is Noah Comeau who collected 4 assists on seven East Hants goals in the Pens 7-4 win over the Leafs Friday night in Windsor.
