Privateers now trail Blazers and Elks by 1
The Liverpool Privateers picked up a badly needed win in Sackville Monday night in NSJHL Play as they dropped the Sackville Blazers 5-1. Alec Howie scored his 13th and 14th goals of the season for the Privateers who led 3-0 and 4-0 after the first and second periods. Howie’s goals came in the first and second periods. Devon MacDonald and Brayden Aucoin scored the other Privateer goals in the first while Daniel Kline scored the lone Privateers goal in the third. Justin Hardie tallied the lone Blazers goal of the evening.
The Privateers record is now 7-8-2 for 16 points and while they are still in fifth place in the Fred Fox Division, they moved to within a single point of the fourth place 8-9-1 Sackville Blazers and the 8-5-1 Brookfield Elks who have 17 points. The top 4 teams make the playoffs in the Fox Division.

Halifax in Shearwater, the Sackville Blazers travelling to Windsor to play the Valley Maple Leafs and East Hants hosting Brookfield. Game time for all 3 contests is 7:30 p.m.
