With four recent games having been postponed in the NSJHL, the three stars of the week are based on a ten-day period between Jan 13-23/23.
1st Star — Antigonish Jr. Bulldogs — Will Mierau — 1 goal and 3 assists in huge 7-1 win over Eskasoni Jan 22 in Eskasoni.
2nd Star — Membertou Jr. Miners — While his team has lost four straight including two gut-wrenching overtime games, Blake Cox is doing everything he can to keep the Jr. Miners playoff hopes alive. He registered 4 goals and 1 assist in 3 of the 4 losses.
3rd Star — Valley Maple Leafs — The Leafs held a 5-2 lead but could not hang on Jan 13 and lost 7-6 in a shoot-out to the Penguins but Carter Graves did everything he could interring to secure the Leafs their 5th win of the season with 3 goals and 1 assist.
