Elks continue dreadful slump
The Brookfield Elks continue to slump in the last quarter of the season and with only four games left for them in the regular season, they will have to pick it up by 5-10 paces now that they have fallen three games under .500, yet still within reach of the fourth and final playoff spot in the Fox Division with a little help. They play two huge games this weekend on the road in Windsor against the Valley Maple Leafs and Saturday night in Liverpool against the Privateers. Their play in both of these upcoming games will require an exceptionally better effort than their 8-1 loss at home Tuesday evening to the Capstone Colts. The Colts took 2-0 and 5-0 leads after the the first nd second periods and never looked back. Liam Andrews scored three times for the Colts while Cole Good, Benjamin Veinot, Tyler and Copper Puma all scored once and added two assists. Colin Goodwin added the other Colts goal. Brayden Hooper-Richard added three assists for the Colts. The lone Elks goal was netted by Jacob Bolger.
