Elks settle for a 1-1-0 weekend in Cape Breton
The Brookfield Elks were looking to make it two wins in a row on their trip to Cape Breton over the weekend but had to settle for a win and a loss after they dropped a 5-1 game to the Eskasoni Jr. Eagles Sunday afternoon. Nathaniel Fuller and Keagan Geizer both scored and collected a pair of assists for Eskasoni while James Jobes scored a pair including a short-handed goal. Joshua Novak scored the other Eagles goal. Ben Fraser tallied the lone Elks goal. NSJHL play continues Monday night in Sackville with what should be a great game as the 5-2-2 Blazers take on the 9-0-2 Capstone Colts in a 7:30 start at the Sackville Arena.
