Bulldogs-Pens Game of the Week
There were some great games played in the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League between the week of Nov 15-22. Selecting one particular game as “The Game of the Week” is not getting any easier. After a thorough review by the Executive Committee chosen to select “The Game of the Week”, the final choice was made and it was the East Hants-Antigonish Game of Nov 17 in Antigonish. From some in attendance they described it as maybe the best Junior Game you will see this season. The teams played to a scoreless draw after one period and were tied 2-2 after forty minutes. All Fitzsimmons who finished the night with a pair of goals and an assist ended up breaking a 3-3 tie with slightly more than eight minutes to play in regulation to give Antigonish a 5-3 win. Marcus Pettipas had an outstanding game between the pipes in a losing cause for the Pens, stopping 51 of 55 shots. Adam Tkacz was the winning goaltender for the Bulldogs stopping 37 of 40 shots.
