Power Rankings for opening week of 24
The Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League has now completed Week # 1 of the Regular Season for the 2024 New Year. The following are the Power Rankings for the week of Jan 4/24-Jan 11/24:
1. Antigonish Jr. Bulldogs — Keeping engines seemed up, a win over Eskasoni and they are now 21-1-1
2. South Shore Lumberjacks — have been playing impressive hockey before and after Christmas break. 6 consecutive wins and have not lost since Nov 11. Two of this wins were this week.
3. Membertou Jr. Miners — have won 6 of their past 7 games including two this past week.
4. Capstone Colts — Still playing great hockey but only one game this past week a close 2-1 win over Brookfield.
5. East Hants — Still leading the Fred Fox Division but difficult to rank this week because they were idle. They swing back into action at home against the South Shore Friday night in Lantz at 7:30 p.m.
6. Port Hawkesbury Strait Pirates — An overtime loss to Membertou and a win over Pictou.
