Egg Farmers of Nova Scotia players of the week announced

Egg Farmers off 21 on the seasonf Nova Scotia player’s of the week have been named in the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League for the week ending Nov 8-14.

 
Fred Fox Division:
 
1.   With the East Hants Penguins continuing to play undefeated hockey, this was perhaps the most difficult choice so far this season but Nick Veinot in two Penguin wins recorded 7 assists giving him a total of 21 and he has been named player of the Week.  The 7 assists came in a 10-3 win over the Capstone Colts and an 8-3 win over the Brookfield Elks.  For his efforts he receives 2 Dozen Eggs courtesy of the Egg Farmers of Nova Scotia.
 
2.   A very close 2nd was Devin Meagher who scored 4 times and added 3 assists for 7 points.  Meagher presently leads the league in scoring and has garnered 3 points toward standings for player of the month.
 
3.   Finn Merrit has earned 1 point in a prolific week as he tallied 3 goals and 3 assists in the Colts 10-3 loss to the Pens and 4-1 win over the Sackville Blazers.
 
 
Sid Rowe Division:
 
1.   Eli James went 1-0-1 in nets for the Pictou County Scotians as Pictou sidelined Port Hawkesbury 3-1 and lost 3-2 in a shoot-out to the South Shore Lumberjacks.  James stopped 64 of 67 shots in the two games and earned the two dozen eggs from the Egg Farmers of Nova Scotia.
 
2.   Owen Juurlink connected for a goal and two assists in the Jr. Bulldogs 7-2 win over the Membertou Jr. Miners.
 
3.   Manny Strong stopped 36 of 38 shots in his club’s 3-1 defeat at the hands of Pictou.
