NSJHL All-Stars named

It is that special time of year when individuals are recognized as All-Stars in the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League.  The selections are made by Head Coaches who are not allowed to nominate a player on their team.  As a result of this voting, some very impressive players have been recognized. For example, of the 12 players name to the first and second All-Star Teams from the Sid Rowe Division, the defending Atlantic Champions the Antigonish Mutual Jr. Bulldogs saw six players named.  There were 2 from the 2nd team and 4 on the first team.  Besides each player listed below, you will see the contributions made to teams by these stars.  Besides the 6 Antigonish had named, the Pictou County Scotians saw three selected, the Membertou Jr. Miners two and the Port Hawkesbury Strait Pirates one.

Sid Rowe Second team all stars

 Defense Antigonish Bulldogs #9 Brodie MacDonald - 2 goals and 16 assists = 18 points

Defense Membertou Miners #7 Drew Baldwin - 3 goals and 8 assists = 11 points

Center Pictou County Scotians #17 Matt Carson - 14 goals and 18 assists = 32 points

Right Wing Membertou Miners # 22 Landon Clarke - 13 goals and 5 assists = 18 points

Left Wing Antigonish Bulldogs #11 Tully Grant —  13 goals and 18 assists = 31 points

Goaltender Pictou County Scotians #34 Eli James - 13-5-0 record, 1 shut-out, 2.38 Goals Against Average and .932 Save Pct.

 Defense Antigonish Bulldogs #22 Ethan Twolan - 9 goals and 11 assists = 20 points

Defense Strait Pirates #6 Leo MacLean - 4 goals and 16 assists - 20 points

Center Antigonish Bulldogs #7 Venel Campbell - 11 goals and 18 assists = 29 points

Right Wing Antigonish Bulldogs # 14 Owen Forsythe - 10 goals and 25 assists = 35 points

Left Wing Pictou County Scotians #19 Lane Lochead - League’s Leading Scorer - 13 goals and 29 assists = 42 points

Goaltender Antigonish Bulldogs #1 Adam Tkacz (Catch) - 11-2-0 record, 3 shut-outs, 1.92 GAA and a .916 Save Pct

 
As for the 1st and 2nd Team All-Stars from the Fred Fox Division, the Capstone Colts led the way with 5 players being named while the East Hants Penguins, the Valley Maple Leafs and the South Shore Lumberjacks all having two players named.  The Sackville Blazers rounded out the 12 players with one player being selected.

 Defense South Shore Lumberjacks #4 Aaron Lane - 4 goals and 20 assists = 24 points

Defense Capstone Colts #7 Connor Stewart - 2 goals and 19 assists = 21 points

Center  Capstone Colts #19 Finn Merritt - 19 goals and 15 assists = 34 points

Right Wing Capstone Colts #23 Liam Andrews - 16 goals and 7 assists = 23 points

Left Wing  Sackville Blazers #98 Logan Mitchell - 6 goals and 11 assists = 17 points

Goaltender  Capstone Colts #1 Conar Brace - 17-5-0 record, 3 shut-outs, 2.47 GAA and a .925 Save Pct.

 Defense South Shore Lumberjacks #7 John Shubaly - 7 goals and 17 assists = 24 points

Defense East Hants Penguins #44 Noah Comeau - 8 goals and 20 assists = 28 points

Center  Capstone Colts #12 Cooper Puma - 9 goals and 24 assists = 3 points

Right Wing  East Hants Penguins #17 Devin Meagher - 21 goals and 17 assists = 38 points

Left Wing Valley Maple Leafs #20 Jacob Gerhardt - 13 goals and 12 assists = 25 points

Goaltender Valley Maple Leafs #31 Graydon Mole - This guy has been outstanding, has faced on average 46 shots a game, owns a 6-9-0 record with a GAA of 4.14 and an incredible save percentage of .914
