Jr. Eagles-Scotians Playoff Preview

The Eskasoni Jr. Eagles and Pictou County Scotians will open their Best-of-Seven Rowe Divisional Semi-Final in the 22-23 Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League Playoffs Friday night March 3 in Eskasoni.  The opening face-off for Game 1 will be at 7:30 at the Dan K. Stevens Memorial Arena.  The Scotians and Jr. Eagles had an interesting six games during their regular season with Eskasoni going 4-2-0 and the Scotians 2-3-1.  Eskasoni won games by scores of 5-3, 8-6, 3-2 in a shoot-out and 3-1 while the Scotians won twice by scores of 6-3 and 8-3 and despite not winning the season series, outscored the Jr. Eagles 26-25 in their six games.  Special teams saw the Jr. Eagles register seven power-play goals while the Scotians notched five power-play markers as well as a short-handed marker.  The two teams racked up 282 minutes in penalties in the six games played between them.  The remainder of the series schedule is as follows:
